Feeling Through: Doug Roland’s touching short film follows the unlikely connection between a teen and a DeafBlind man, opening up the window of how hard it is to communicate and connect for those with disabilities. Performers Steven Prescod and Robert Tarango are convincing in this quiet and efficient short. Genius Loci: Adrien Mérigeau is not, per se, telling a story in this animated short, but that doesn’t make the images any less hypnotic. Abstract shapes transform and change colors in a way that mimics the mental chaos suffered by the protagonist. Sound design and musical score nicely complement the images. The short is being presented by UniFrance, in their channel, until at least April 2nd, 2021:
