The World Is Yours: in spite of a sympathetic protagonist, Romain Gavras’ crime comedy gets less interesting as it shifts its look away, towards some of the other characters. The main character is a man clearly not fit for his position in the world, and his goal to change things is certainly relatable. The other characters are, for the most part, obnoxious and annoying; that, of course, aligns with his goals. He is well-played by Karim Leklou, who makes the character appropriately insecure, with some low-key charm. Vincent Cassel is very funny as his very challenged helper. The film has a very polished, shiny look and moves along in a zappy pace.
