Fifth about The Seventh

Jules and Jim

Jules et JimJules and Jim: François Truffaut’s film is a lovely journey through time, Europe, friendships and loves; it’s an idyllic and rich experience, one that is not easy to shake away, or even define. The performances of the central trio (Jeanne Moreau, Oskar Werner and Henri Serre) at the same time are unusual and spot-on. Georges Delerue’s musical score is an important element for the dreamy, romantic mood. The camera of Raoul Coutard is a wonder; always moving, curious, displaying the same uncommon quality that Truffaut imbued elsewhere.
