Fifth about The Seventh

F for Fake

F for Fake: Orson Welles’ documentary (or essay) is quite undefinable and indescribable, but not one iota less engaging; probably even more interesting because of it. All the characters (Welles himself included, but the hightlight is Elmyr) and the stories they tell are attractive, and the ideas presented, interesting. The smart, rich editing (by Marie-Sophie Dubus, Dominique Engerer and Welles) is what makes this a special experience. Michel Legrand’s score is another element that improves this work.
