Best Original Screenplay: Josh Singer & Tom McCarthy for Spotlight
There is value in telling a story simply, clearly, without frills; in addition to that Mr Singer and Mr McCarthy are able to maintain a certain level of tension during the whole film.
Best Adapted Screenplay: Aaron Sorkin for Steve Jobs
It’s a bold choice to have a biopic that is restricted to simply a few days in the subject’s life; that’s exactly what Mr Sorkin did, and one never feels much is missing. In addition, the dialogue is a pleasure to follow.
