The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: ThemThe Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them: Ned Benson’s film tells a sad story (the particulars of which are not rushed, which is refreshing); however, the combination of lack of focus (and depth) in either of the main characters and the emotional detachment in the storytelling. Nevertheless, the cast is large and very attractive; it all starts with the central pair (Jessica Chastain is quietly intense and luminous every time she is on screen, while James McAvoy is given less to do but does it well) but trickles down to the supporting cast.
