Cora: an attentive eye looking at the poster of Gustavo Rosa de Moura and Matias Mariani’s film may notice my name in it. Needless to say, this is a project I have a heavy bias for, so this space will be used to provide information instead of an opinion. Playing like a documentary, the film (which is an adaptation of sorts of Beatriz Bracher’s novel “Antonio”) follows an unseen narrator (Charlotte Munck) who tries to understand her rich and tragic family history, as she looks into the footage her father (André Whoong) put together; Vera Valdez, Fabio Marques Miguez, and Sylvio Zilber complete the cast. The challenging and monumental work of editing was done by Alexandre Wahrhaftig, Bernardo Barcellos, and Luisa Marques. The film had a beautiful trajectory, garnering a few awards from its development until its release at the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival.
