All In: The Fight for Democracy: this documentary by Liz Garbus and Lisa Cortés looks at something that sounds very peculiar to non-Americans: how the elections of such a country can be so easily manipulated with voter suppression. The film puts the face of Stacey Abrams and mixes her trajectory with the evolution of suppression over time; it threads paths seen before, but the fact that this needs to be repeated every so often is evidence the issue persists. The film certainly argues its case very effectively, with its mix of interviews (pleasantly shot by cinematographer Wolfgang Held) and archival footage, as well as a few instances of a very stylish animation; editor Nancy Novack weaves all that material nicely.
