Our Happy Holiday: while the protagonists in Patrick Cassir’s comedy are mildly interesting and their opposite traits create many comedic opportunities, the film seems to be looking down at everything that is different, and it’s less than generous with all supporting characters. That ends up taking the wind away from the comedic sails, for the most part, making the film drag in spite of its relatively short runtime. The characters are well portrayed by the cast: Camille Chamoux as the carefree woman open to new experiences, and Jonathan Cohen as the neurotic, traditional man; they do form a charming couple. The film gains points for choosing a rare setting, but it also goes out of its way to paint those places in an unflattering light.
