Fifth about The Seventh

The Nice Guys

The Nice GuysThe Nice Guys: Shane Black’s film will never be confused with high art, the plot does not make much sense (it’s clearly not supposed to) and it has a somewhat nihilistic approach to violence, but it is, nevertheless, entertaining. The cast is in great comedic shape; Russell Crowe and (particularly) Ryan Gosling are very funny, have great chemistry and deal well with the snappy dialogue. The young Angourie Rice is a charming presence as well. Director of photography Philippe Rousselot is efficient in capturing the well-designed look of the film.
