Room: survival tales exist in many shapes and forms, but rarely quite like this one. Lenny Abrahamson’s film tells a touching, very emotionally charged tale; at times harrowing, at times uplifting, but always engaging, interesting. Acting is very strong: Brie Larson is excellent, earnest, but the true star of the show is little Jacob Tremblay, as he steals every moment of the film he is on the screen. Danny Cohen’s camerawork portrays nicely the characters and their situation. Beautiful score by Stephen Rennicks.
