Neon Bull: rather than telling a story, Gabriel Mascaro is inviting to a sensorial experience (Mostly visual, of course: cinematographer Diego García’s framing is precise, distant, non-interfering and the scenes are beautifully lit. The images are great-looking and with a painting-like quality to them), where the viewers witnesses slices of a handful of lives, hopes and realities. The characters portrayed are interesting, unusual and well-defended by the cast; Juliano Cazarré, in particular, is very strong in his role.
