Kingsman: The Secret Service: Matthew Vaughn doesn’t hide the silliness of his story; in fact, he seems to relish it. Everything, including the action scenes and the extensive but harmless violence, is cheesy. The whole proceedings are breezy and fun, even if the story has the earmarks (and therefore, the problems) of an origin story. Colin Firth is convincing in his debonair charm; in fact, other than Samuel L. Jackson (too broad), the cast is not at all bad to watch (given what they are supposed to do).
