The Amazing Spider-Man 2: to say this film’s plot is somewhat confusing and senseless is being overly generous and loose with the term. As has been the case with both of the recent series with this character, there is an excess of villains who, their powers excepted, seem to be essentially the same character. However, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are nice presences, injecting their characters with enough charm to make their banter interesting. The action scenes resemble (particularly the way the characters look) too much a computer game. All in all, this is typical summer fun, if one is willing to not use reason during the show.
