Fifth about The Seventh

The Seventh Seal

The Seventh Seal: a film with this setting, group of characters and story is expected to be grim and solemn; however, the light touch that Ingmar Bergman uses to deal with this theme is what makes this film such a rich, interesting and pleasurable experience as well as profound. Visually very distinctive and beautifully shot; the acting is top notch. This certainly is a film to be savored many times, as each scene, conversation and composition reveals more and more each time. This is Art at its fullest, created to make the viewer think and feel, providing definitive questions aplenty but not definitive answers.
