Moonrise Kingdom: a bit of a headscratcher. While the central love story is very sweet (and both young actors very engaging to watch), this film also has an emotional detachment that sometimes is hard to overcome. Aesthetically, it is a very interesting film (even if somewhat less so than other Wes Anderson’s works). Anderson has a very well-defined voice and he sticks to it.
