Fifth about The Seventh

Pare Parecchio Parigi

Pare Parecchio Parigi: Leonardo Pieraccioni’s unpretentious comedy follows an estranged family, comprising three siblings and their father, as they embark on a fake trip to Paris after the patriarch is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Their adventures are mildly entertaining, but the film doesn’t quite decide how relevant it is that the four of them didn’t really speak to each other since the death of their mother five years prior. The performances are fine, within the context: Giulia Bevilacqua plays the responsible sister, Chiara Francini the horny one, Pieraccioni himself the brother (in the most openly comedic performance among the protagonists), and Nino Frassica plays the father. Cinematographer Fabrizio Lucci and composer Gianluca Sibaldi are modestly fine but rather forgettable, as the whole film is.
