Everybody Wants Some!!: there is such a thing as a Richard Linklater’s touch: this film has a loose story (it’s not really missed), but a very pleasurable and engaging mood, a great and diverse (somewhat surprisingly) gallery of characters, fun dialogue, and swinging soundtrack. The cast of mostly unrecognized faces is in good comedic shape (and physically as well, in fact) and deal well with the hyperactive dialogue. The film re-creates the time period very well, visually (costumes and hairdos), aurally (many great songs), and in spirit (which is what trully matters). This could hardly be more entertaining.
