Still Alice: Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland’s film seems content in being little besides a vehicle for Julianne Moore; the story is touching, but overly schematic and sugar-coated. Ilan Eshkeri’s music is excessive and manipulative; in that sense, it’s the proper fit for the film as a whole. The acting by Ms Moore is strong and impressive, but it feels a tad manicured; her interaction with Kristen Stewart (who was not consistent, but was generally solid, with what she was given) is mostly interesting to watch.
