Game of Thrones – Season 3: while the third season juggles a growing number of storylines and characters and at times neglects someone for a while, paradoxically it feels more focused and airtight than the previous season. (Part of the reason, for sure, was the decision to leave a good chunk of the original book for the next season, a solution they should continue to use going forward.) The cast mostly defends well the great array of characters, particularly Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage and Aidan Gillen. Production values, as always, are top-notch: the locations are generally wonderful, set and costume design, diverse and moody.
