Peace, Love & Misunderstanding: despite the interesting (if archetypical) characters and relationships, this film suffers from the arbitrary and artificial starting point. Because that feels so unnatural, what follows does not really register as being too sincere either; otherwise, the film could have stricken some emotional chords.
