Fifth about The Seventh

RBG

RBG: Julie Cohen and Betsy West’s documentary is competent and straightforward, but it is its subject that raises it above the pedestrian. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is not only a historically relevant person, having spearheaded many social advances, but has a well-documented life. That includes a good mix of interviews, family and friends testimonies, and a very good variety of archival material, all of it nicely weaved together by editor Carla Gutierrez. All of that allows for a detailed account of her journey, as well as a good look at her intelligence, drive and work ethics. All in all, it’s a factually rich, entertaining and inspiring look at a fine character.
